DSV UK TO LAUNCH TWO NEW CULTIVARS AT GROUNDSFEST 2025
Visitors to stand 29 at GroundsFest 2025 can look forward to an exciting showcase from DSV UK, as the company launches two brand-new perennial ryegrass cultivars: Flanell and Eurogala.
Exclusively available in EuroGrass mixtures from 2026, these highperformance varieties will be on display at the show, where attendees can view samples and learn more about their standout characteristics.
Both cultivars feature in the 2025 BSPB Turfgrass Seed Booklet, with Flanell ranked # 2 in the prestigious S1 sports table – just behind Euromagic, another leading DSV variety. Eurogala, meanwhile, sits just outside the top ten but stands out for its versatility across multiple turf categories, making it a promising all-rounder.
“ We’ ve been at the top of the table before, but to come straight in at number one and number two – it’ s a once-in-a-lifetime moment,” says Sam Horner of DSV UK.“ It reflects the quality of our breeding programme and the strength of the DSV portfolio.”
Strong genetic colour is another defining feature, with Flanell particularly noted for its dark summer greenness – a sought-after trait for stadiums and televised sports.“ We believe we can offer something genetically darker, delivering both performance and a more camera-friendly appearance,” adds Sam.
DSV will also showcase its EuroGrass range, trusted by turf managers for proven performance across applications including:
