DECKING

TIMBER DECKING SOLUTIONS

Marley Ltd manufacture a range of high-performance timber decking solutions for commercial applications , providing a durable and slip-resistant surface that is safe to use all year round .
Our CitiDeck ® and AntiSlip Plus ® products have been independently tested using the HSE ’ s preferred method of a pendulum test . A minimum pendulum test value ( PTV ) of 36 is required for the surface to be classed as a low slip potential . CitiDeck ® and AntiSlip Plus ® comfortably exceed this minimum , scoring a PTV between 60 to 80 , depending if the surface is wet or dry .
Choosing a natural timber decking product can be one of the most sustainable choices for hard landscaping materials . All Marley timber decking is supplied with PEFC certification , confirming that timber is sourced from well managed forests .
CitiDeck ® used to construct roof deck at historic Clifford ’ s Tower
Clifford ’ s Tower in York has played a significant role in the city ’ s history . Following a £ 5m refurbishment project , which included the construction of a roof deck using Marley CitiDeck ®, this historic monument can continue to delight visitors for many more years .
“ We chose CitiDeck ® because we needed an attractive and robust anti-slip timber decking for use in high-traffic public areas ,” explains an architect at Hugh Broughton Architects Ltd who worked on the project .
“ Timber was preferable due to it being a natural material ,” the architect explains . Marley ’ s CitiDeck ® is sourced from managed forests that are PEFC certified , so specifiers can rest assured that it is an environmentally friendly product .

AntiSlip Plus ® used to create striking courtyard at Henlow Academy
At Henlow Church of England Academy , Marley ’ s AntiSlip Plus ® Smooth decking was used to create a visually striking , low-maintenance and slip-resistant courtyard area .
Marley AntiSlip Plus ® Smooth decking was specified due to its non-slip properties , which was particularly important for the space as children will be using it to run and play . The decking was also selected due to its durability and long lifespan . “ We chose Marley because it is a market leader with an excellent track record of durable and good quality timber products ,” explains Alex Bond from PCMS Design .
