CONCRETE & STONEWORK
How can homeowners in cramped , urban housing get in on the Outdoor Living trend ?
A simple solution offered by Azpects Ltd is EASYClickBase , a synthetic sub-base that significantly reduces the traditional ‘ dig-out ’ part of the installation process for patios , paths , and driveways . Early feedback shows that for a 50m2 patio EASYClickBase requires an excavation of around 2-4 tonnes and just 2-5 tonnes of a fine replacement aggregate depending on site conditions . Traditionally , this would require the excavation of 16 tonnes of waste by-products , and the import of 16-20 tonnes of traditional subbase aggregates , requiring either heavy machinery or a significant amount of labour .
Manufactured from 100 % recycled ABS plastic , any offcuts of
EASYClickBase tiles can be recycled again , further reducing waste and improving the sustainability of hard landscaping projects .
Several early adopters of EASYClickBase have reported trimming day ’ s labour off the expected completion time while giving their clients the garden they have always wanted .
Landscaper Paul Chapman of PBC Landscapes recently used EASYClickBase to complete a job in Amersham . “ The customer wanted a porcelain patio in her rear garden , but the only access was straight through the house . Multiple landscapers told her she ’ d have to have a deck instead , but luckily I knew about EASYClickBase . The dig was very minimal so we only needed a 6-yard skip , and we brought replacement materials in through the house with trug buckets . EASYClickBase is so light that we even managed to get it around the tight corners in the kitchen without any trouble . I ’ d definitely use it again for a project with similar circumstances .”
As the trend for outdoor living grows , the garden is swiftly becoming “ the 5th room ” where homeowners can relax , connect with nature , and focus on wellbeing . The garden is no longer just a place to grow vegetables ; it is now an extension of the home itself , providing space for cooking , dining or even working . Trend analysts Scarlet Opus predict that outdoor living will only become more popular in the wake of the pandemic , with homeowners expecting the same level of comfort and convenience as in any other room in their house .
