The last 18 months have been a challenging time for humanity . An opportunity to reflect on how we lead , & what is important in , our lives . Not least for our children , whose development & wellbeing have been affected more than most by restrictions & varying levels of lockdown . The UK government recognises the importance of this issue , & is placing increasing importance on outdoor play . Children learn & grow via social interaction whilst they play , however , safety is as crucial as ever , whether that be intrinsic to play , or play structures , or the risks still posed by the virus .
As we get closer to coming out of winter , children can head outside again more & more ; we should encourage this as much as possible , especially where there are fabulous local play areas to discover & explore . There are so many unique
& challenging playscapes across the UK , in which children can have wonderful adventures . Even if it ’ s not quite summer temperatures yet , there ’ s nothing quite like seeing the smile on children ’ s faces as they run , climb , swing , & express themselves freely via their own imagination . Especially if they have the added confidence of being able to explore well-made play structures which have safety at their core .
