The solution At Growing Revolution , we wanted to make living walls more accessible to both landscapers and the general public . We designed a modular , freestanding living wall system called PlantBox that is ideal for smaller commercial and residential landscaping projects . It has all the benefits of a larger commercial living wall but is available at a fraction of the cost , it ’ s easy to install and simple to maintain .
PlantBox can be fixed to traditional hoardings or Portakabins at construction sites , it can enhance bare walls and hide unsightly features , it can transform balconies , create relaxing seating areas and so much more . It only requires restraint fixings and can be configured to fit any space as the troughs are modular and can be clipped and stacked both vertically and horizontally .
Unlike other living wall solutions , each PlantBox trough has a 1.8 litre water reservoir and plants take up water as they need it via wicking felt . By watering from the top , the cascading watering system also ensures you don ’ t overwater , and the water level indicator tells you when to fill up – it ’ s cleverly simple !
Maintenance is very straightforward too . You can either water by hand or for larger walls we ’ ve created a onepoint fix irrigation system that just requires a hose connection .
Made in the UK from 100 % recycled materials , PlantBox was shortlisted for the RHS Chelsea Sustainable Garden Product of the Year 2021 award . It is quick to deliver ( usually 3-5 working days ) and we offer full product training either virtually or from our nursery in West Sussex .
