Specifically formulated for treated timber , Barrettine Allin-One Decking Oil creates a non-flaking finish that protects against water and UV-rays , helping to prevent splitting , cracking and fading . A surface biocide preserver also protects against mould and algae growth . The oil is offered in six natural shades - Clear , Light , Natural and Dark Oak , Cedar Red and Rosewood – and can be used on all types of pressure and preservative-treated boards and tiles , as well as sheds , summerhouses and fences . Follow-on treatment – Barrettine Anti-Slip Decking Oil – is a low-sheen top coat that enhances grip underfoot . It also provides further protection against the elements and helps slow discolouration .
