Installing the Perfect Paving
I
nstalling paving to your
outside spaces can be
a daunting task, but the
results are certainly worth
the effort. Fortunately, the
experts at SACW Terrace &
Patio Paving are on hand to
advise how to lay pavers in
a way that fits both practical
needs and style aspirations.
“There are a range of options
available to people looking
to add porcelain pavers
to their outside spaces,”
comments Chris Grainger,
Managing Director of SACW
Terrace & Patio Paving.
“Whether you’re looking to
create an inviting garden
path over the lawn or
gravel, or want to even out a
sloped garden and create an
alfresco dining area, there is
a solution available.”
One of the simplest ways
to lay your porcelain pavers
is installing them dry on
grass, gravel or sand. “This
is an easy and instant
way of laying paving,”
continues Chris. “This kind of
installation doesn’t require
any screeds, mortar or
adhesives, and is ideal for
anyone hoping to create a
relaxed, traditional look. It
is very effective in all areas
of the garden, from paths to
patios.”
For those looking for a more
seamless look, conventional
laying with adhesives is
another option. This is
the traditional way to lay
paving slabs, and provides a
solid base which lasts year
upon year. It also removes
the need to keep grass
and gravel tidy in order to
maintain a crisp, clean effect.
“For situations where you
need to ensure your paving
is level, such as when
creating an uninterrupted
indoor/outdoor scheme, then
raised installation should
be considered,” says Chris.
“In these cases, the pavers
are supported by propylene
or steel support structures,
which reduce differences in
levels using a micro-metric
height adjustment system
(max 20-50 cm) and make it
easy to run wires and pipes
underneath the paving.
These supports also feature
anti-squeak sheaths to
ensure a solid, high-quality
feel.”
The team at SACW Paving are
dedicated to bringing you
the finest in ceramic flooring
surfaces whatever your
outside requirements.
