This approach, developed with CED and Steintec, produces a much more forgiving and more flexible treatment than is possible using conventional bound paving with mortar filled joints. The purpose designed pod seats, designed by Churchman and fabricated by Bramhall 1840, reinforce local historic references, Douglas Fir planks being used for the cushion and back rest while the riveted metal trims echo Glasgow’s legacy of ship building.
