Flower Show visitors
also enjoyed a packed
programme of expert
talks and demonstrations
hosted by Martin Fish,
well-known garden writer
and broadcaster, former
Harrogate Flower Show
director – and Harlow Carr’s
new Garden Advisor.
Live music from a harpist,
brass ensemble and string
quartet was the perfect
accompaniment to the show
and there was plenty of
opportunities to recharge the
batteries with a cup of tea
and a cake at Bettys Café Tea
Rooms or Bettys Tea House
in the heart of the garden.
Highlights included flower
arranging demonstrations
by BBC2's The Big Allotment
Challenge judge and awardwinning floral designer,
Jonathan Moseley, question
and answer sessions with
members of the RHS Garden
Advice Service and talks by a
selection of nurseries.
The new RHS Garden Harlow
Carr Flower Show was the
highlight of the garden’s
yearly programme of events
which already includes
spring festivals, craft
exhibitions and plant fairs.
