From a landscape and design point of view, Fono adds a fresh and modern look to urban areas. Winner of the Red Dot design award in 2014, competing against 4,815 entries from 53 countries, Fono has been internationally recognised by its exceptional functional design and robust and modern appearance. Expanding across the world As well as in the UK, Fono is sold in Australia, China, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands. Bracknell Town Council in Berkshire were the first council to join the Fono movement in the UK. The DJ booth can be found at Mill Park in Bracknell and they are absolutely delighted with it. Bracknell Town Council Recreational Facilities Manager Allan Moffat commented: “We wanted to give teenagers a place to meet with their friends and hang out. Fono is a great addition; we are very pleased we’ve added it into our park”. Noise is not an issue For noise concerns, Fono comes with adjustable settings that allow you to choose the hours that the product can be used giving you total control. The Fono has been specially designed to contain sound. However, this can also be controlled with variable sound levels. Allan Moffat added “We were a little worried about the noise levels but this has proven not to be a concern and we are very pleased with the noise”. Likewise, due to its heavy duty construction and a steel case to protect the incorporated technology, this unit is highly resistant to vandalism and has passed many tests to prove it is perfectly suitable for outdoor areas.
