ono is a meeting point for
youngsters with a DJ system at its
centre. With Fono we mirror the
current trends our youths enjoy.
Examples of these trends are the
frequent use of mobile phones,
the listening and sharing of music
and hanging around with friends.
This DJ system challenges teens
to express their musical creativity
and make music which they
can edit and share through their
phone. Developed in association
with many DJs, Fono replicates a
professional DJ system specifically
designed to be very easy to use.
To make it work, you only need
to place a mobile phone playing
music onto the pad. Sound will
automatically amplify and play
live.
This smart new concept of play
has been initiated by Dutch
company Yalp Interactive, where
they have come up with this

imaginative product that offers a
positive and safe spot for teens to
socialise and express themselves.
Fono generates an immediate
‘wow’ factor that fascinates both
youths and adults alike due to
its unique characteristics. Add
effects to the music like an echo or
crossfader. Very recognizable are
the black, turnable disks to scratch.
Because Fono has two music
players it is possible to mix two
different songs. With Fono you
can be a real DJ for a moment! In
terms of location, Fono is suitable
for both outdoor and indoor use.
Outdoors, Fono will create a
mo re teenager-focused area; an
original music and hangout spot
for them to enjoy. Fono would
perfectly complement a MUGA
or a skate park. Indoors, this DJ
station can be a unique spot in
shopping malls, leisure centres or
even airports. The possibilities are
endless.
