the “tree house Without a tree” desiGn Competition A unique opportunity to enter a design competition which will form part of the LANDSCAPE show and feature within this year’s London Design Festival. The LANDSCAPE show is running a competition to design a ‘tree house without the tree’. The winning entry will hopefully then form part of the 2016 event, (subject to sponsors). The LANDSCAPE show is a truly international event and attracts gardens designers, architects, landscape contractors, local authorities landscaping professionals, facilities managers and interior designers from all over the UK and beyond. The show features contemporary, cutting edge technologies and methods and is supported by a comprehensive FREE CPD accredited Seminar Programme featuring some of the most inspirational names in the business. The competition is open to all and the lucky winner will receive: A £1,000 cash prize. Your brief The brief is to create a contemporary elevated tree house as a free standing structure with a footprint measuring no more than 3m x 3m. The finished structure should be able to be incorporated into an open public space or a private dwelling and be built independently of a tree but with the intention that it could be built around a tree or within a woodland setting.
