Located in Bedford Park, Chiswick, these
beautiful mansion flats were first occupied
in 1901.
When initially built, Bedford Park offered
a haven away from the poverty of 19th
century London and set a precedent by
creating a self-contained community,
complete with a church, inn, shops and
school.
By the 1950’s Bedford Park was known
as Poverty Park; it was dilapidated and
many houses had been divided into flats
or demolished. Bedford Park Society was
established in 1963 to preserve the area
and by 1970 had achieved Grade II listing
for 356 properties and recognition of
Bedford Park as a conservation area.
The beginning of 2015 saw the
commencement of an external
refurbishment project at Bedford Park
Mansions. The project comprised of repairs
to the front and rear forecourt surfaces
and improvement of the surface water
drainage system.

over two days, six men installed a 517m²
turning driveway on the existing asphalt
surface.
A 6mm Chocolate Natural Aggregate
was selected; perfectly complementing
the famous red bricks from Acton
Brickfields, used in the construction of this
magnificent building, and its attractively
landscaped communal gardens.
Bedford Park Mansions now has a
spectacularly smooth, strong, surface
suitable for vehicle and pedestrian traffic,
and improved surface water drainage;
no more puddles for residents of these
£million mansions!
