PROLUDIC
SUPPLIER: Proludic
PROJECT: Gedling Country Park
PROLUDIC HAVE BEEN DESIGNING OUTDOOR PLAY AND SPORTS AREAS FOR 15 YEARS AND ARE
BASED IN NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
T
heir play, sports and outdoor furniture range are designed and
manufactured to meet the needs and expectations of all users
while also being versatile to different surroundings.
Gedling Country Park is a great example of how a client’s
needs and the communities needs can combine seamlessly;
creating a bespoke, unique and landscape led destination park in
Nottinghamshire. Designed by in-house senior landscape architect,
Jen Tindsley, the play area incorporates the park’s mining heritage
with a bespoke rustic mining tower, mining train and ‘old pit’
grasslands, preserving the park’s history.
Adam Dickerson, commercial manager for Proludic,
said: “Everyone at Proludic has been extremely excited to work on a
project so close to our offices and that our children will also play on.
“From the initial concept sketch designs completed by our
landscape architect, through the whole build process, we have
endeavored to create a space that not only has a tangible link to the
heritage of Gedling Country Park but does so in a sympathetic way to
the surrounding environment. The finished site will be a huge asset
not only to the surrounding community but will also attract visitors
from the whole of Nottinghamshire.”
Leader of Gedling Borough Council, councillor John Clarke
said: “We are very proud to be providing our residents with this
excellent play area that children will enjoy for many years to come. It
will make what is already a destination country park even better and
puts us firmly on the map.”
Proludic are extremely passionate about play areas and designing
them to fit seamlessly into their surroundings. Please come and
visit them at The Landscape Show, stand B17 to hear more about
their passion, services and new product range, Kanopé. www.www.
