ADMINISTRATION
GREEN MOON PLANTS APPOINTS BDO AS ADMINISTRATORS
Green Moon Plants has appointed accountancy and business advisory firm BDO as administrators after it announced it was to close last month .
BDO business restructuring partners Eddie Kerr and Martha Thompson have been appointed joint administrators of Green Moon Plants .
The company , based in Bedfordshire which had David White and Karen Gill as directors , was a plant trading business that specialised in seed processing for propagation .
Chessum Plants , where White and Gill are also directors , is now dealing directly with retailers rather than via Green Moon . The administration has no effect on another related company , garden retailer Home & Garden .
Green Moon Plants ceased to trade prior to the appointment of administrators . The company had no employees upon appointment and there have been no redundancies in the administration .
Eddie Kerr , BDO business restructuring partner , said : “ Unfortunately the economic climate and difficult trading conditions significantly affected the business . The joint administrators are taking all necessary steps to mitigate losses to customers and , going forward , will seek to maximise recoveries for the benefit of all creditors .”
The new upgrades – though simple in their implementation - mean we can increase the product range we keep on the shelf , as well as creating a safer and more welcoming work environment for our staff .”
