hen travelling into Leeds you can’t
help but be impressed with its
skyline crowded impressive, shiny, tall
buildings.
It’s changed a lot during the last 20
years and it probably does not come as
a surprise that, according to Leeds City
Council, this is the UK’s fastest growing
city and is forecast to grow by 25 per
cent.
Aside from being the largest
centre for financial and business services
outside London, Leeds has the most
diverse economy of all the UK’s main
employment centres and has seen the
fastest rate of private sector jobs growth
when compared with other UK cities.
Ranked as a gamma world city
which links smaller regions to the global

economy, the Knightsbridge of the north
delivers a cost of living nearly 20 per cent
lower than the UK capital after which it
takes its nickname according to cost of
living website Numbeo.
Leeds has the fourth largest
student population in the country and
as such is home to a vast choice of pubs,
bars nightclubs and restaurants as well
as a variety of live music venues.
And if shopping is a priority the
capital of the north was been named
third in the UK by Javelin Group in 2014.
As you would expect, property
prices have shot up in-line with the city’s
economic growth in recent years but

looking for a property.
