CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW and through time. They are connected to labor, slavery, and industry. They can be seen as being loaded with meaning. But not one meaning in particular and I like that ambiguity. I think it allows for multiple meanings and perspectives to coexist. So for all of those reasons I am compelled to use them as a medium.
I am also drawn to the rebellious spirit of collage with its legacies in Dada and Surrealism and its ability to subvert aesthetic hierarchies in Hine art. I do like
