CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW and through time . They are connected to labor , slavery , and industry . They can be seen as being loaded with meaning . But not one meaning in particular and I like that ambiguity . I think it allows for multiple meanings and perspectives to coexist . So for all of those reasons I am compelled to use them as a medium .
I am also drawn to the rebellious spirit of collage with its legacies in Dada and Surrealism and its ability to subvert aesthetic hierarchies in Hine art . I do like
