You are right, with both statements. I want to enable the viewer to find own interpretations, therefor the amount of objective paintings in most of the works are limited. When I started to paint, the pictures didn’ t even get names, just numbers: Names already give the viewer a significant hint in which direction my personal thoughts go. Afterwards I came to the conclusion that I also want to transport a“ message” and therefore I had to find a balance between a commitment and open room for interpretation. Also, I don’ t follow an explicit explanatory strategy, it’ s pretty much the opposite.
There is a strong relation between the subconscious and memories, the subconscious is full of experiences. Many moments seems to be forgotten until you remember them triggered by an event, photo or a dream. I try to listen inside me as deep as possible and express what I find. The interesting thing is, that it also works the other way around. In case the
