structures are mostly made out of surfacer, foils or even acrylic color, formed by water drops, paper or sunlight. A nice example is my painting“ Rainmaker”, the water effects on the painting are coming from real rain drops. The set up itself is very simple. It’ s just a big foil that I enroll outdoor, because I use a lot of water and the working plane of canvas is more or less horizontal. Then I prepare all the“ tools” and the selection the colors impulsively. I rarely scribe the canvas, since I find most of the ideas while working. Sometimes I have a roughly picture in mind, but rarely the details. I want to keep it an intuitive process with enough room to improvise and I just add some objective details later to expand the content and to give some details with a hint about the story.
Thank you. The source of inspiration for Transmigration and Burnout are very different. Transmigration engages with my interpretation of connected souls, which is more a philosophy related topic. Burnout is very present topic in the society, but this painting doesn’ t only cover the burnout itself, it also refers to a faster spinning world and that it becomes harder and harder to divest for many people.
