CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW photographer as one could be , and that has always been my intention .
These images are , ( as is most of art ) constructed realities . In the Landscape Series , I am interested in simplifying and distilling the images into understated beautiful visual essences , to focus the viewer into seeing a purer version and vision of the landscape . Landscape artists have been doing this for centuries , and my art in this series is a new take on that older concept .
In my NightBlooms Series , flowers form the basis of the artworks , but flowers have never existed like they appear in these prints in nature . They are a translation into another reality of nature into color , form , light , motion and emotion . They symbolize botanic life seen in a literally new light .
