Film school was a revelation and I loved it . It was painting and theater together into another kind of thing . My experience was however , that making films made a similar reality happen in my own personal life and this became an issue for me . I could have been a very successful horror filmmaker but I didn ’ t want to bring that into existence . I felt that filmmaking is an abused shamanic medium and incredible responsibility should be going into it by the creators but is not . I thought I needed more life experience to understand story .
