CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW were there, if we had been in a canoe for the previous 7 days in the wilderness, or on a long road trip together. I take these photos to both have a daily image diary of the amazing sights and themes of a single day and to have images to later turn into Artworks. At the time I take the photos I have no idea which will be which. I work quickly and instinctively, but I have been doing this for such a long time that my image composition choices are almost always good and reliable. My personal imagination later works to turn photos into artworks which may help subsequent viewers into escaping and overcoming their particular reality when they view the image or images.
