CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW mourning the death of my father. The Piece " Clouds ", however, was painted five years after and therefore there are significant differences that are expressed by using formative elements in the painting.
One of the hallmarks of your work is the capability to create a direct involvement with the viewers, who are urged to evolve from a condition of mere spectatorship. So before leaving this conversation we would like to pose a question about the nature of the relationship of your art with your audience. Do you consider the issue of audience reception as being a crucial component of your decision-making process, in terms of what type of language is used in a particular context?
My relationship with the audience is of a spiritual connection evolving while observing my work. I paint as part of my inner world and hence the truth is expressed in the works. I do not try to fit myself and my works to the audience in order to impress it or rather meet existing artistic trends. I believe that the audience is capable of emotionally intelligent observation. The audience feels the emotional nuances in my work and activates his personal and subjective experiences of his inner world. I believe that in this way, the experience is intensified and it feels as if it is its own story presented on the canvas. I experience art and paintings as an international human language that transcends cultures and borders, and I am grateful to the wonderful audience that makes my own experience, its. It is my greatest satisfaction.
Thanks a lot for your time and for sharing your thoughts, Mally. Finally, would you like to tell us readers something about your future projects? How do you see your work evolving?
I would like to thank you for allowing me this great privilege to take part in your wonderful magazine. To your question, I continue to learn, to evolve and paint non-stop. These days I work on a new solo exhibition that will be displayed in the LEMON FRAME Gallery in Tel Aviv. Apart from that, I ' m working on a series of paintings in which I explore using a palette of one color. I am very curious to witness the effect of using different color nuances on the nature of my work and the emotion it will generate in the audience.
