I am always surprised when my own intentions match a viewer ’ s interpretation of my work ; it ’ s one of the ways I mark personal success as an artist . In my work , I think a compelling experience for viewers is their perception of a visual representation of the intangible , something invisible but present beneath the surface . If I can relate this to disorganized complexity , I would say that the interaction of many random parts creates complex linkages , the sum of which can be understood as a whole that is somehow greater than
