CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW
Your approach is very personal and your technique condenses a variety of viewpoints, that you combine together into a coherent balance. We would suggest to our readers to visit http:// www. paperandplate. com in order to get a synoptic view of your work: in the meanwhile, would you like to tell to our readers something about your process and set up? In particular, would you tell our readers something about the evolution of your style? In particular, are your works produced gesturally, instinctively? Or do you methodically transpose geometric schemes?
In my most recent work, I begin gesturally, intuitively, and expressively. The beginning of the work is driven by a disorganized combination of emotion and physical energy. My work space is typically very messy – ideally, I will begin a new painting outside. I apply large, washy strokes of bright colors to the canvas, and I don ' t think about what the final outcome of the piece will be. In the next phases, my actions become increasingly technical and logical. Within the nebulous expressive mess, there is potential for organization. I find ribbon-like forms within the gestural mass, and I gradually develop them into believable, spatial images of intricately woven forms.
