Resource Center
The Wyoming Life Resource Center
(WLRC) is a campus hosting a
group of state and local programs.
This Therapeutic Resources Center
includes three primary state sponsored programs and a Training Center. 450 highly specialized staff
provide services for people with
significant disabilities and medical
needs who reside on the campus
and statewide.
In the Intermediate Care Program
for people with developmental disabilities, each person has
an individual plan for training,
work, healthcare, and recreation.
Thirteen houses on campus are
home for three to nine individuals each. These homes provide a
comfortable, family-like setting in a
handicap accessible neighborhood.
Independence is promoted in life
skills, community access, social
interaction and leisure activities
always striving to create the most
integrated lifestyle possible.
The Visions Program, a residential
rehab facility for people with brain
injuries who are at varying stages
of recovery. While providing long
term support, the program has an
active therapy component including
physical, occupational and speech
therapy, cognitive retraining, along
with a therapeutic swimming and
riding program.
The Healthcare Program includes
long term inpatient care, outpatient
and outreach medical and therapeutic services for persons in the other
programs on campus and for other
persons with significant needs.
The Training Center offers a variety
of training programs for professionals and caregivers.
