Just like in modern times,
people used the available
transportation for more
than just work. The
coming of the railroad
made Lander a central
hub for travelers while at
the same time providing
the much needed ability
to transport and receive
goods.
Times may have changed
dramatically since the
pioneers came across
these vast open spaces,
but the town of Lander
and its residents remain
the forward-thinking,
progressive pioneers that
our ancestors would be
proud of.
