Guided Convoy Tours are an activity that is ideal both for individuals and groups. Participants drive fully modified ISAK Super Defenders on their own, which is a fantastic experience in itself. However, they are all the time under the guidance of a thoroughly experienced driver guide in a leading vehicle, as the safety of all clients is paramount to us.
The professional driver-guide leads the group and guides the group through VHF radio, which all the vehicles are equipped with, and for larger groups a support vehicle is added for added security.
Fjallabak, the southern highlands
Starting from Reykjavík, in this tour you will explore the southern highlands of Iceland. On day 1 you will discover the route of Fjallabak North, with various stops on the way, including Landmannalaugar. Day 2 leads you along the beautiful scenery of Fjallabak South, and on the following day you will reach the end of Fjallabak South before traveling down to Fljótshlíð Valley. If you feel three days are not enough time to take in
the amazing experience the southern highlands have to offer, you can add up to 3 additional days to the basic program.
Central and north highlands - Express
This package is ideal for those who have less time to travel around the highlands, but still want to see of its major highlights, such as Askja, Kverkfjöll and Dettifoss. This means that you need to manage more distance each day. and even though lack of daylight will not be an issue thanks to the Icelandic white summer nights, you should be prepared to long and tiring days of driving.
