Inductees
Following its launch in 2024, this year the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show welcomes four new inductees into the show’ s Hall of Fame.
INDUSTRY AMBASSADOR: Nick Whale, Iconic Auctioneers
Former racing driver and prestige car dealer, Nick has been involved in motoring for 25 years and founded Silverstone Auctions, now Iconic Auctioneers, in 2011. Through high-profile sales and partnerships with major motoring events, he has brought collector cars to an international audience.
INDUCTEES TO DATE: Peter Stevens, Car Designer( 2025) David Whale, FBHVC( 2024)
CLASSIC CAR: Lotus Esprit
Giorgetto Giugiaro’ s sharply drawn, mid-engined Esprit became Lotus’ s longest-running production model and helped move the marque into the supercar arena. Launched in the 1970s, it combined lightweight engineering and renowned handling with pop-culture fame through its appearances in two James Bond films.

COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR: Stephanie Hoy, idriveaclassic
Steph created idriveaclassic in 2019 to offer an engaging, enthusiast-led perspective on classic cars. Through approachable road tests, ownership stories and coverage of less obvious classics, she has introduced a growing digital audience to historic motoring, championing restoration, everyday classics, youngsters and women.

MOTORING CLUB: MX-5 Owners Club
The club represents one of the world’ s most enduring modern-classic sports cars and, in 2026, helps celebrate 35 years since Mazda’ s landmark victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours. That 1991 triumph by the rotary-engined 787B inspired just 24 UK-market MX-5 Le Mans Editions in the winning car’ s vivid orange-and-green livery.
