Luke Hellier Mayor of Lakeville
Welcome to Lakeville!
On behalf of our City Council, staff, and residents, I am delighted to welcome you to our community. Whether you are visiting, starting a business, or making Lakeville your new home, we are grateful you have chosen to spend time in our city.
My wife, Josi, and I are proud to call Lakeville home as we raise our five children— Betty, Annie, Wally, Tripp, and Sandy. Like so many families here, we have experienced firsthand what makes this community special: outstanding schools, safe neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and neighbors who genuinely care about one another.
Lakeville continues to be one of Minnesota’ s fastest growing and most vibrant communities. While we have grown into one of the largest cities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, we have worked hard to preserve the strong sense of community and welcoming spirit that have defined Lakeville for generations.
I encourage you to explore everything our city has to offer. Enjoy more than 70 parks, over 150 miles of trails, six recreational lakes, a thriving local business community, and a

growing dining and entertainment scene. Be sure to visit Historic Downtown Lakeville, where community events, local businesses, and our arts and cultural amenities create opportunities for residents and visitors to connect year-round.
As we look toward the future, Lakeville remains committed to thoughtful growth, public safety, economic opportunity, and preserving the quality of life that makes our city such a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Through our long-term vision and continued investment in community assets, we are building a city that future generations will be proud to call home.
Thank you for being part of the Lakeville community. I hope you feel welcomed, connected, and inspired by all that our city has to offer.
If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards,
Luke M. Hellier Mayor, City of Lakeville
