Lakeville has always been a community that knows how to celebrate, and in 2027 two of its most beloved traditions will reach major milestones.
In 2027 we will mark the 60th anniversary of Pan-O-Prog and the 25th anniversary of Taste of Lakeville— two signature events that showcase the spirit, pride, and connections that make Lakeville a special place to live, work, and visit.
PAN-O-PROG Pan-O-Prog, short for Panorama of Progress, began in 1967 as a celebration of Lakeville’ s growth and the development of the Airlake Industrial Park. What started as a community event to highlight the city’ s progress has grown into one of Minnesota’ s largest volunteer-led festivals.
Held the first full week of July, Pan-O-Prog features more than 80 events over nine days, including fireworks, parades, live entertainment, sporting events, family activities, community gatherings, Miss Lakeville coronation, and much more.
Through six decades of change and growth, the festival has remained true to its mission of celebrating the people, businesses, and organizations that make Lakeville thrive. Made possible by dedicated volunteers and generous business sponsors, Pan-O- Prog continues bringing the community together year after year.
Taste of Lakeville
Celebrating Two Landmark Community Traditions in 2027
TASTE OF LAKEVILLE Just a few weeks later, in the middle of August, the community will celebrate another milestone as Taste of Lakeville marks its 25th anniversary.
Since its founding, the event has brought together local restaurants, caterers, beverage vendors, and residents for an evening dedicated to showcasing the area’ s culinary talent. Hosted by the Lakeville Rotary Club, Taste of Lakeville has become one of the community’ s premier annual gatherings while also raising funds that support scholarships, youth programs, and numerous local initiatives.
It’ s About Community While the events differ in size and focus, both share a common purpose: bringing people together. They highlight the businesses, volunteers, nonprofits, and community leaders who contribute to Lakeville’ s success year after year.
As Lakeville continues to grow, these milestone anniversaries provide an opportunity to reflect on the traditions that have helped shape our community.
