The Lakeville Area Arts Center and Fine Arts Building, city-owned and operated facilities, provide a variety of options for live music, entertainment, dance, theater, art galleries, pottery and art classes.
PRESERVATION
Retail, restaurants, entertainment, service businesses and fun events dot the unique historic downtown that speaks to our past while providing amenities for a thriving present-day community. Lakeville Area Historical Society maintains a large archive of data, videos and information and resides in the Heritage Center. They have open museum hours. Check their website for more information.

Our Police and Fire Departments are very active in the community, outside of their day-to-day public safety responsibilities. They host community events at their facilities and attend several community events throughout the year – including National Night Out.
ON THE WATER
Enjoy fishing, boating, two swimming beaches and motorized water sports. There are public lake access points at Lakeville’ s Casperson Park, Antlers Park and Orchard Lake Parks. Swimming beaches at Orchard and Antlers, and boat launches at Orchard and Casperson parks. The Doug and Deb Anderson Amphitheater is an outdoor performance stage named for the former Lakeville Mayor and his wife and opened in 2023 at Casperson Park. The Live at the Lake summer concert series runs from June through August at Casperson Park. Enjoy live entertainment and the scenic Lake Marion Wednesday evenings.
PARKS
Grand Prairie Park Splash Pad
Lakeville’ s recreational amenities are second to none and include over 1,200 acres of parks, 492 acres of greenways and conservation areas, nearly 150 miles of paved trails, 70 park facilities, 50 playgrounds, 30 shelters and 42 picnic facilities. The much-anticipated grand opening of Grand Prairie Park was hosted on June 1 with project partners, sponsors and contractors in attendance to celebrate Lakeville’ s newest community park. The 68-acre park boasts a full-size baseball field with grandstand, athletic decks, cricket pitch, a splash pad, ten pickleball courts and extensive multi-use trails.
The Lake Marion Greenway Trail project is underway with connections to downtown Lakeville being cut through Ritter Farm Park. The greenway trail construction will
