Lake Linganore at Eaglehead is a lake community situated in the central section of Frederick County , Maryland , just east of the city of Frederick and 45 miles from both Washington , D . C ., and Baltimore , Maryland .
Initially planned in 1968 as a “ new town ” by the original developer , Linganore Corporation ( J . William Brosius and Louie J . Brosius ), Eaglehead was the county ’ s first planned unit development ( PUD ). The community , comprised of villages , is centered around a lake system , the centerpiece of which is Lake Linganore , a 209-acre lake . Lake Linganore is the largest privately owned lake

in the state of Maryland . the association

The management of the community is accommodated through the operation of the Lake Linganore Association , Inc . ( LLA ), a homeowners association ( HOA ) that represents and serves the interests of the HOA corporation and its property owners within the planned unit development ( PUD ).
Chartered in 1968 under Maryland law , LLA is led by an elected Board of Directors , operates within the legal covenants of the corporate charter , enforces the legal governing documents of the HOA , and is supervised and maintained by association staff . LLA directors and management staff are representatives on behalf of the Lake Linganore community members to local government and developers / declarants to help ensure the long-term interests of the overall community and to protect the quality of life and the value of the individual properties .

The September issue is the perfect reference tool which our residents keep on hand throughout the year . It is also distributed to new homeowners and acts as an excellent resource for them as they try to familiarize themselves with the area . LLA circulates this publication in the office throughout the year .

BoD meetings are typically held the first Monday of the month . Meetings are held at 7 pm . The LLA is utilizing a virtual platform to host meetings . The meeting agenda is customarily available to the community the Friday before the meeting . Meeting links , agendas , and minutes are available in your Member Account .
Work sessions are generally held every third Monday of the month at 7 pm . Work Sessions are open meetings ; however , there ’ s no opportunity for Member feedback , and typically , there are no voting items on the agenda with the exception of approval of the minutes from the previous month . Work Sessions are mainly for discussion as a means of preparation for the next Board meeting . The agenda is typically available the Friday before the meeting .
