WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE TOP 3 PRIORITIES FOR THE BOARD IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS ?
Over the next two years , the Board ’ s 3 top priorities should focus on :
Enhancing traffic management and safety infrastructure across the villages to ensure the well-being and security of residents .
Upholding and enhancing existing amenities while strategically planning for new amenities that elevate the quality of life within the community .
Preserving and promoting the ecological health of the lake , safeguarding its vitality for current and future generations to enjoy .
HOW MANY LLA BOARD MEETINGS AND WORK SESSIONS HAVE YOU ATTENDED IN THE LAST YEAR ? IF NONE , PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO RUN FOR THE BOARD , AND HOW YOU WILL EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT THE ASSOCIATIONS ’ WORK OVER THE LAST YEAR .
While I have not recently attended any LLA Board meetings or work sessions in the past year , I am eager to engage and educate myself about the Association ' s work moving forward . My motivation to run for the Board stems from a deep interest in contributing positively to our community and ensuring its continued success . I understand the importance of being well-informed and plan to educate myself through various means , including reviewing past meeting minutes , engaging with current Board members and staff , attending future meetings regularly , and actively seeking opportunities to learn about the Association ' s work and initiatives . I am committed to dedicating the time and effort necessary to effectively serve our community on the Board .
CONSIDERING LLA ' S VISION OF NATURE AND SUSTAINABILITY ALONG WITH THE TODAY ’ S BUYER PREFERENCE FOR A “ TRADITIONAL ” COMMUNITY , AS A BOARD MEMBER , HOW WOULD YOU NAVIGATE THE DEMANDS OF BOTH PRESERVING THE INTENDED PLANS FOR LAKE LINGANORE WHILE MEETING THE NEEDS AND WANTS OF MEMBERS WHO HAVE LIVED HERE FOR DECADES AND THOSE OF RECENT AND FUTURE MEMBERS ?
As a Board Member , I would focus on fostering open communication and collaboration among all stakeholders , including long-term residents , newcomers , and those responsible for implementing LLA ' s vision . By actively listening to diverse perspectives and finding common ground , we can work towards solutions that honor both the community ' s history and its commitment to nature and sustainability . This may involve exploring innovative approaches , seeking community input through surveys or meetings , and considering phased implementation strategies that balance preservation with evolving preferences . Ultimately , by prioritizing transparency , inclusivity , and adaptability , we can navigate these demands while staying true to Lake Linganore ' s vision .
LAKE LINGANORE ASSOCIATION IS HOME TO 17,000 + FREDERICK COUNTY CITIZENS . MOVING FORWARD , WHAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP DO YOU FEEL LLA SHOULD HAVE WITH THE GREATER FREDERICK COUNTY COMMUNITY ? WOULD YOU FAVOR ENGAGEMENT WITH THE COUNTY COUNCIL MEMBERS AND EXECUTIVE ? IF NOT , WHY ?
Lake Linganore Association should aim to cultivate a positive and collaborative relationship with the greater Frederick County community . This involves actively engaging with County Council Members and the Executive to ensure that the interests and concerns of LLA residents are effectively represented and addressed at the county level . Building strong connections with local government officials can facilitate communication , resource-sharing , and cooperation on issues that impact both Lake Linganore and the broader community . By fostering open dialogue and partnership , LLA can contribute to the overall well-being and prosperity of Frederick County while advocating for the specific needs of its residents .
