Recent happenings at The Manor
A well supported Christmas dinner & dance provided a good evening’s
entertainment in the newly completed main hall. Pictured below are Dawn &

A new snooker room, situated
below the new hall’s extended kitchen
and toilets was inaugurated recently.
Regular players who were there for a
first game on the completely renovated
table were: Mike Palmer, Don Gaynham,
Clive Locke, Dave Webster, Alan Bird
and Harry Pearson.
A new ‘Draw-the-Lucky-Joker” fun
competition was launched at the Manor’s
first Sundowner build-a-burger evening
of 2018. Winner for the evening was Ettie
Firkser and here she is with Dave Web-
ster, Thornhill Manor’s village committee
chairman. Each monthly winner qualifies
for a chance to win the overall competition
which ends when the one-and-only joker
on the board is revealed. No less than 100
residents of the Manor attended this very
popular event which has had to be moved
from the community centre to the larger
