Lakeside Social
Lakeside Village recently held our Bingo evening, and what an evening it was!
Table and chairs were set up for the big, very enthusiastic crowd, and Ivan, the
Bingo Caller and his team did a fantastic job of keeping the crowd entertained. Nine
games later everyone was in a very happy mood and wanted more!
The very last game was a big one with over R1000 won.
We are very lucky to have such a great Hall to hold the event in right on our door-
step and we thank Rand Aid for the use of this.
Again, Johnny from the Shell Garage supported us with some vouchers for his Shell
Shop to the tune of R100 per voucher.
Just like the movie evening the Bingo event was a big hit and we have been asked if
we will do another one; the short answer to this is, of course we will! We will look
for a suitable date to slot this into our calendar and let you all know in the usual
way – our stunning banners put up at the gate, designed and made by Terrick and
his team from Colorseps who again are great supporters of all of our social events,
thanks very much guys.
Our next social event is the Family Walk around the Dam, a charity event to raise
items needed by the entity we are walking for. Last year’s event really helped the
animals of the Edenvale SPCA and Dog Town as we raised a big bakkie-full of pet
food and blankets and bowls, and again, thank you all for this, we will choose this
year’s charity from our shortlist soon and we will let you know what we are look-
ing for.
