Christmas in July
A packed main hall at Thornhill Manor greeted
members of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Choir
who came to present a range of songs, hymns and
carols at the Manor’s Christmas in July concert last
month.
The highly appreciative audience gave voice during
some of the songs and thoroughly enjoyed the over-
whelming array of food on offer for the “high tea”
that accompanied the concert.
The event was organised by the Manor’s entertain-
ment committee, guided by Di Zylstra who’s team
of industrious ladies prepared the fare for the event
and the décor committee under Penny Perrow
which decorated the hall with Christmas flair.
“It’s events such as these which make living in
Thornhill Manor such a pleasure,” says Ginny
Michler, a 14-year phase two resident. “There are
so many of our folk who devote lots of their time to
ensuring that life is never dull, and we thank them
for all the work they do towards this objective.”
