E&A
Environmental and Architectural Committee
OurAs its name suggests the E and A committee look after all things environmen-
tal and architectural in the village. The committee meets once a month to discuss
aspects of village life that fall into these two categories in line with the rules of the
village.
Environmental
There are four areas that are focused on:
1. Garden contract. We have a contract in place with a service provider to ensure
that the parks are mowed and maintained, streets cleaned and that the perimeter
along the fence is kept clear. This contract is renewed each year by the committee.
2. Improving the village. Each year we are given a budget to use as we see fit in
the village. This money is used to improve or enhance certain areas of the village
each year. The committee decides on how best to use the budget and then carries
out various projects.
3. Tree removal. The rules of the village require that the committee give approval
for the removal of any tree in the village, or any heavy cutting back of trees. Ap-
provals are dealt with by the committee.
4. Other issues. The committee also deals with various other issues that arise
during the month or issues where the rules of the village have been broken.
Architectural
The village has a set of architectural rules in place that define what is allowed with
regards to alterations and building works in the village. All building work must be
approved by the committee before it can begin and residents need to submit plans
to the office for approval. The committee reviews the set of plans and then reverts
back to the owners with a decision. Alterations are typically dealt with in 14 days
while new houses take a month to
review. The committee reviews the
plans against the rules of the village
and then feeds back to the directors
who complete the approval process
by formally signing off the plans.
Any resident is welcome to join the
E and A committee, and we would
encourage residents to get involved
