Ron Clark
As a founding member of Clark, Campbell,
Lancaster & Munson, P.A., Ron Clark has
committed almost 40 years to representing
businesses and individuals in Lakeland in the of
real estate, business, and litigation matters. Born in
Jacksonville, Florida, Clark attended the University
of Florida and Cumberland School of Law in
Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned a juris
doctorate.
Moving to Lakeland in 1980, Clark practiced
at a small law firm before founding Clark,
Campbell, Lancaster & Munson, P.A. in 1988.
He became involved with the Lakeland Chamber
in the early 1980s.
Clark served as the chair of the Lakeland
Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
in 2001. As chair of the board, Clark believed
that the Chamber should be more concerned
with the continued revitalization of downtown
for businesses. In efforts to make this a priority,
he worked to develop a partnership between the
Chamber, the Downtown Lakeland Partnership,
and the Downtown Development Authority.
During his time as Chamber chair, he also
invested in helping businesses find qualified
employees. Clark believed this started with
students. He supported school programs that
prepared students for the workforce. His
investment in the next generation also led to his
efforts to recruit many mentors for local students.
As the Chamber continues to grow and branch
into other endeavors, Clark likes the direction the
Chamber is headed in the business community.
In addition to the Chamber, Clark has served
as the president of Big Brothers & Big Sisters,
president of the Lakeland Bar Association, president
of Lakeland Habitat for Humanity, chair of United
Way of Central Florida, president of the Polk
County Legal Aid Society, chair of the Lakeland
Metro Vision Process, and chair of the Polk Vision
Process. He was also the recipient of the 2000 Jere
Annis and 2016 George Jenkins Awards.
