She discovered that Jian Zhang, the owner of Jade Fox, also owns China One and Buddha’s Pub which are located in the same plaza. “This is the third business that he’s opened this year!” says Miller. “Jian has lived in Lakeland for the majority of his life, and his father also owns a Chinese restaurant in Lakeland.” Other bars and restaurants are also experiencing the value of becoming a member of the Chamber. Jeannie Weaver, owner of Revival Classic Cocktails, says, “We are excited to join the ranks of local bars and restaurants in Lakeland.” Since their grand opening on July 30, 2018, Revival has seen a tremendously positive response. “The community has really rallied around and supported us since the beginning.” From their creative selection of craft cocktails to their plush aesthetic and impressive book selection, what’s not to love about this new Lakeland gem? “We are forever grateful,” Weaver says, “and we look forward to serving specialty craft cocktails in a comfortable environment for many years to come.” Mojo Federal Swine & Spirits was yet another pleasant surprise in 2018, opening in the newly renovated historic Federal Building in downtown Lakeland. With seven other locations throughout Florida, Mark Burton, general manager at Mojo Federal shared the teams’ motivation for partnering with the Lakeland Chamber. “We’ve joined the Chamber in several other areas where Mojo’s is located and find it extremely helpful in connecting us with the community by listing community dates and events,” Burton shares. “The Chamber not only connects us with Lakelanders, but neighboring restaurants and companies who choose to hold monthly meetings downtown. They know everybody from all walks of life: folks that are still working, folks that are retired.
