L A K E W E D O W E E L I F E A T H O M E Kindness Knows No Limits in Wedowee “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” That message by Fred Rogers (You know, the guy in the sweater that so many watched as children in Mr. Rogers Neighborhood) resonates in times like we are facing with this COVID19 pandemic. We have found people that are helping in tremendous ways in our Lake Wedowee area and we felt it is important to share with our readers, too. 8 LAKE WEDOWEE LIFE WM Grocery You may have heard about Tyler Perry paying for groceries for seniors at numerous grocery stores in the Atlanta area in April. But, did you know we had our on Grocery Store Angel in Wedowee on April 14? “Doug got the call from a person that wanted to help,” Steven Lines, general manager of WM Grocery store, said. “The person wanted to pay for $5,000 worth of groceries for our senior customers. It took a little bit of thinking to pull it off but by the end of the day 147 customers had their groceries paid for because of the kindness of one person.” The Brown Bag Benefactor wishes to remain anonymous, but the WM Grocery store family wanted the opportunity to say thank you for the kindness shown to their customers that really needed it. “The looks on people’s faces when they were told it was free was priceless,” Lines said. “Some people needed the help more than others and what was really inspiring is the people
