The LSHCF Life Preserver Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility Serving Lake Stockton and the surrounding area since 1975
We made it . One very long pandemic year and not a single COVID positive resident at Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility ( LSHCF ).
I hesitated to write this because like most sailors , the Lake Stockton crew tends to be a little on the superstitious side ! However , it is an accomplishment worth noting and celebrating . According to the Missouri Health Care Association , LSHCF is one of only nine skilled facilities out of hundreds in the state of Missouri to not have a resident outbreak since the pandemic started a year ago .
I am both humbled by this accomplishment as well as proud of the staff and providers who have worked so hard to make it happen . We also could not have done it without the kindness and support of our residents and families . It really is amazing .
With 90 % of our residents vaccinated and community rates remaining low , we are happy and confident to be able to open up our doors to visitors with “ Operation Reunite .” There will still be screening and testing , masks and social distancing , along with other restrictions , but the building is once again bustling with visitors and excitement ! There is no guarantee COVID will never get in at Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility but , I can say with confidence , the LSHCF Life Guards will remain on duty and diligent in our fight to keep it out .

Bring your baskets and stay in family groups as you circle the building to gather eggs . Be sure to wave at the residents by their windows and social distancing of participants is still encouraged . Check your eggs for special prizes and enjoy the hunt !
