Activity Highlights
LSHF Entry Earns 3rd in MHCA Community
Involvement Contest
Missouri Health Care Association holds a statewide contest for all healthcare facilities who are
members of this association. Entries must be on 11”
x 17” paper and set up like a front page of a newspaper. The contents must show activities and
events of the facility throughout the past year. LSHF
entered both black and white or color divisions.
Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility’s black and
white entry placed third overall. Both entries are
posted on our brag wall north of the main dining
room and on Facebook.
Colonial Springs Healthcare Center , another
CMH facility, placed third in the color division.
From harsh winter conditions to spring like
weather in the same week is typical for
Missouri weather. At Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility, we made the most of the
situation and had a great time in the snow.
The snow woman in the front yard brought
lots of laughs from visitors and residents.
She looked magnificent in her grass skirt,
bikini top, flower leis and beach hat. The
snow man who resided in the FitzRoy
courtyard was dreaming of spring. Although
he had a winter cap and scarf on, he wore
his gardening gloves in anticipation of
warmer weather. His face and buttons were
made of sweet gum seed pods. This week,
extra trips were made around the building
in order to keep the birdfeeders full. We
know this makes the weather more
tolerable for our feathered friends.
