Lake Forest is home to 17 of the most beautiful parks in the county . Take an afternoon or evening walk or bike ride to a one of our nearby parks and enjoy the scenery !
OUTDOOR ICE SKATING AT WEST PARK • WEATHER DEPENDENT
The Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Department offers outdoor ice skating at West Park . The ice will be divided into two sections : one for hockey and the other for open skating . There is a warming house with ice rink guards . Please note , masks are required in the warming hut . Please also practice social distancing for everyone ' s safety . West Park has lights for night skating and will have guards on duty during the following hours ( weather permitting ):

The facilities will close at 4:00 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year ’ s Eve and will be closed all day on Christmas Day . HELP US MAINTAIN YOUR PARKS
Although crews inspect park sites on a regular basis , litter or vandalism may occur , or additional maintenance may be necessary between visits . The next time you visit one of the parks and notice anything that needs attention , please report to the Parks section at 847.810.3567 .

ADOPT-A-PARK
The Adopt-A-Park program provides opportunities for donors to lend assistance in a variety of ways to help maintain or improve public properties . The program is designed to allow residents , corporate business , neighborhood groups , schools , and other community organizations the opportunity to become partners in preserving and enhancing the parks in Lake Forest . It is a fun and rewarding way to give back to the community and help support your city parks .

LAKE FOREST PARKS & RECREATION & LAKE BLUFF PARK DISTRICT
Lake Bluff residents receive our resident rates for all programs , fees , and memberships in the following areas : Athletics , Fitness Center , Wildlife Discovery Center , Stirling Hall Arts Center , Kinderhaven Preschool Academy , Lake Forest Dance Academy , Lake Forest Sailing , and Deerpath Golf Course . Forest Park Beach operations and fees are not included in this agreement . Lake Bluff registration takes place during the same time as non-resident registration .
In addition , Lake Bluff Park District offers paddle tennis , which is not currently available at Lake Forest Parks & Recreation .
