Lake Forest is home to 17 of the most beautiful parks in the county . Take an afternoon or evening walk or bike ride to a one of our nearby parks and enjoy the scenery !
HELP US MAINTAIN YOUR PARKS
Although crews inspect park sites on a regular basis , litter or vandalism may occur , or additional maintenance may be necessary between visits . The next time you visit one of the parks and notice anything that needs attention , please report to the Parks section at 847.810.3567 .
The Parks and Forestry Section is committed to offering the best maintained parks and urban forest in the area . We consider it a privilege to serve this community and will strive to make your parks the best they can be . SUMMER FUN IN LAKE FOREST
Looking for family friendly and fun things to do this summer ? We know summer activities seems limited during this time , but the Lake Forest Recreation Center is working hard to make sure you have many of the same amazing opportunities as always . Go on a family bike ride to Forest Park Beach , then enjoy the beautiful beach and swimming in the lake . Take up to a group of four to Deerpath Golf Course for a round of golf and lunch on the patio . Walk the trails at Elawa Park and check out the Wildlife Discovery Center ' s outdoor exhibits . Bring a picnic to one of our many parks ( listed on the right ). OR , take one of the many great classes , camps , or programs we have to offer this summer . We hope you enjoy ! ADOPT-A-PARK
The Adopt-A-Park program provides opportunities for donors to lend assistance in a variety of ways to help maintain or improve public properties . The program is designed to allow residents , corporate business , neighborhood groups , schools , and other community organizations the opportunity to become partners in preserving and enhancing the parks in Lake Forest . It is a fun and rewarding way to give back to the community and help support your city parks .

LAKE FOREST PARKS & RECREATION & LAKE BLUFF PARK DISTRICT
Lake Bluff residents receive our resident rates for all programs , fees , and memberships in the following areas : Athletics , Fitness Center , Wildlife Discovery Center , Stirling Hall Arts Center , Kinderhaven Preschool Academy , Lake Forest Dance Academy , Lake Forest Sailing , and Deerpath Golf Course . Forest Park Beach operations and fees are not included in this agreement . Lake Bluff registration takes place during the same time as non-resident registration .
In addition , Lake Bluff Park District offers the following programs that are not available at Lake Forest Parks & Recreation :
• Pickleball
• Paddle Tennis
