INTERMEDIATE BALLET ( 8-18Y ): Intermediate Ballet will include work suitable for all intermediate ballet students . Recommended for LFDA students previously enrolled in Ballet 2-3 .
ADVANCED BALLET ( 10-18Y ): Advanced Ballet will include Variations and work appropriate for the advanced ballet dancer . Pointe work will be included . Recommended for LFDA students previously enrolled in Ballet 4-5 .
OPEN LEVEL BALLET ( 8-18Y ): Open Level Ballet is recommended for dancers ages 12-16 with little dance experience who are looking to begin their study of ballet .
CECCHETTI 1 THROUGH 5 classes offer the student a firm foundation in classical ballet technique , language and theory as well as offer opportunity for certification by the Cecchetti Council of America . The Cecchetti syllabus develops strong classical lines , solid anatomical placement , as well as beautiful jumps , leaps and beats . POINTE 1 / 2 : Pointe 1 / 2 is a supplemental class for serious students who have been approved for pointe work by their teacher and who want to take classical ballet to the next level . Students must be concurrently registered in Ballet 4 and a second ballet class .
POINTE CONDITIONING : Pointe Conditioning is a class for students that are serious in their desire to succeed with pointe work . Students must be registered in a concurrent Intermediate ballet class .
DANCE CONDITIONING : Students will understand the depth of training muscle memory in order to achieve their personal best . Through different exercises , students will be able to obtain a better understanding of stability , weight placement , and alignment of the body . This training explores safe dance training to prevent injury and correcting faults .
