Jazz
JAZZ/LYRICAL CLASSES (6Y+): This class will encompass different styles of jazz dance; classic, contemporary, and lyrical. Class will include a warm-up,
stretching, technique exercises, and center work using combinations of both a rhythmic and percussive nature along with smooth and fluid movements.
Beginning Jazz is recommended for new and previous students enrolled in Intro and Level 1. Intermediate Jazz is recommended for LFDA students
previously enrolled in Jazz 2 and 3. Advanced Jazz is recommended for LFDA students previously enrolled in Jazz 4 and 5. Open Level Jazz is
recommended for the teen dancer ages 12-16 who is looking to start or brush up on their skills.
JAZZ JUMPS & TURNS (12Y+): will focus on the conditioning and technical elements needed to improve these key aspects of dance. This class is
perfect for dancers who participate in their school dance team. Recommended for dancers ages 12 and up with previous dance experience.

Tap
TAP (6Y+): Tap dance involves manipulation of the feet to create sounds and rhythms. Classes progress from basic technique and traditional forms
to more complex polyrhythmic movement and choreography. Emphasis is placed on musicality and precision of sound. Improvisational skills and Tap
history are incorporated into the syllabus. Beginning Tap is recommended for new and previous students enrolled in Intro and Level 1. Int/Adv Tap is
recommended for LFDA students previously enrolled in Tap 4 and 5.
