Parks Your Parks Lake Forest is home to 17 of the most beautiful parks in the county. Take an afternoon or evening walk or bike ride to a one of our nearby parks and enjoy the scenery! HELP US MAINTAIN YOUR PARKS Although crews inspect park sites on a regular basis, litter or vandalism may occur, or additional maintenance may be necessary between visits. The next time you visit one of the parks and notice anything that needs attention, please report to the Parks section at 847.810.3567. OUT IN THE PARKS The Parks and Forestry Section is committed to offering the best maintained parks and urban forest in the area. We consider it a privilege to serve this community and will strive to make your parks the best they can be. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Chuck Myers, Superintendent of Parks and Forestry at 847.810.3565. The park pavilions and playing fields of Lake Forest are available to Lake Forest residents, not-for-profit community organizations, and schools located within the City boundaries for reservation by permit when not in conflict with public activities. All events need to be approved by the Recreation staff. Larger events may need to apply for a special use permit through City Hall. Commercial profit-generating events are not allowed. The permitting season runs from February 1 to November 1. A permit does not allow for private use of the entire park since the parks are intended for the enjoyment of all residents; however, it does reserve a pavilion or playing field for private use. For further information on reserving a pavilion or playing field, please call the Recreation Center at 847.234.6700 or visit our website at www.LFParksandRec.com. ADOPT-A-PARK The Adopt-A-Park program provides opportunities for donors to lend assistance in a variety of ways to help maintain or improve public properties. The program is designed to allow residents, corporate business, neighborhood groups, schools, and other community organizations the opportunity to become partners in preserving and enhancing the parks in Lake Forest. It is a fun and rewarding way to give back to the community and help support your city parks.
