Adaptive Opportunities Buddy Sports & Dance Buddy Sports offers various programs for players with developmental and/or physical disabilities. These classes offer a non-competitive athletic opportunity. Buddies will be paired up weekly to allow participants to make new friends and enjoy the experience. BUDDY SOCCER (5-15Y) Grab your cleats and join your friends as we pair with our buddies to play the wonderful sport of soccer. Buddy Soccer is a program for players with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Each week, we will take the field as we challenge our friends to an exciting game of soccer. Participants will spend time warming up, learning new skills of the sport, and play a 45 minute game. As a buddy, you will be paired with an athlete with special needs as he or she learns to play a variety of sports in a non-competitive environment. Help us create an experience where everyone can have fun enjoying sports, friendship, and comradely. While there is no fee for buddies, you must register for the experience. The class goals include teaching rhythm, safe stretching, body awareness, building self-confidence, enhancing social skills, and having fun! Miss Denita has years of experience teaching people with different learning styles. She looks forward to bringing energy and musicality to this fun class.
